Have you ever been in a situation where you thought
you couldn't finish a project without the perfect tool, fastener, wood, spring,
or other widget that was in the plans you purchased on line? Step out of the
box into a world of your own making. Simple ideas are the basis of every

It’s hard to buy presents for someone who wants junk. What junk should you get? Has he got one already. (Not really a problem.) Where can you find the right kind of junk?
Better to buy a new item and be sure it’s nothing he has already. Laser level. That’s the ticket.

$10.00 worth of paint adds $200.00 to the price of the tractor. That’s a saying from my days in Union City. I restored several tons of old iron and one of the nicest things to do with them was to paint them. All the scratches, rust, dings, and funny welds disappeared under a nice shiny coat of paint. This project doesn’t have rust involved but the effect is the same. Everything appears finished when it’s nicely colored the same.

Shop Organization ~ Building Tool Racks ~ by Old Sneelock's Workshop

Moving ahead with the tool wall project. Since I have
repaired and cleaned the push drills they can take a more active roll in the
day to day projects here at Old Sneelock’s Workshop. To improve their
usefulness I have decided to put them on racks behind the workbench. Right out
where I can easily reach them and they will be there to remind me.

Using what you have to make what you need.
Now that you’ve had a chance to visit and look around the place why not comment on what you see. Pointing fingers or pats on the back, all are welcome. Some of the best ideas come from you, the viewers.

Making videos and sharing them with my friends is a fun
pastime. Spending hours trying to get the videos made and edited isn't. To
shorten the time spent doing the work instead of the fun the shop is being
reorganized and restructured.
